About
Andrew has been heavily involved in multi-sport having finished his first triathlon in 1986. Training and racing became an obsession resulting in many podium performances. In 1997 Andrew made the switch from competitive triathlete to full-time triathlon coach and strength trainer.
Coaching
Often endurance athletes train too much and are always tired. They become a “slave” to the training log and more concerned about quantity versus quality. Andrew’s training approach is “Less is Better” and he stresses frequency of exercise over duration. His training programs will eliminate the junk miles, allow you to train fewer hours, and help keep you mentally fresh and motivated. You will be able to increase your speed and race performance while minimizing burnout and risk of injury.
Andrew’s 23 year coaching career has netted many successes with his athletes, from individual personal bests to World Championship podium wins. He continues to compete at a high level having netting 2 silver medals at both World Age-Group Championships in Triathlon & Duathlon in 2014, and in 2018 placed 10th Overall at the Whistler Gran Fondo
